Dear all,Please take note of the following events for next week.1. Be Yourself Day (23 May 2006, Tuesday)The school will be celebrating 'Be Yourself Day' next Tuesday during the first two periods. Children will be allowed to come to school dressed up in an occupation or character. For example, a chef, a nurse, Minnie Mouse etc. However, the challenge is to use RECYCLED MATERIALS in their costumes. Some examples of such materials include buttons, cans, bottles and cardboard. Any material can be used as long as they are recycled materials. [Note that now, there is no need for costumes to be made of recycled materials]This is a fund-raising project organized by S'pore Press Holding as part of their community involvement to raise funds for The President's Challenge. The money collected will be given to 'President's Challenge' for 47 charities.If children are participating, they are to donate a small sum of $2 and come dressed up next Tuesday. If your child does not want to participate but wants to donate, please do so too! I'll be collecting the donations from tomorrow onwards.Proceedings for 'Be Yourself Day' Show1) Form teachers will select 2 best dressed pupils from their class.2) Students from each level will walk across the stage.3) Judges will select top student per level.4) Winner will get $25 Times book voucher.2.
