BlogThis! Wednesday, August 09, 2006 Kidz Xpression, STAR pupils of July, National Day Celebrations! Dear all, I would like to update on the following events,1. Kidz Xpression [7th August 2006]2. STAR pupils of July 3. National Day CelebrationsKidz Xpression [7th August 2006]I would like to applaud Atalya and Stacey for their excellent story telling during 1C's last session for Kidz Xpression. Atalya told the story, 'Humpty Dumpty and the Billy Goat' and Stacey told the story, 'The Flower Princess'. It is really encouraging to me when these children come up to me to volunteer to tell stories or do a show and tell on stage. It really takes alot of courage to do that and I would like to commend once again on the 6 children who participated in Kidz Xpression. Terrific job!!! *A pat on ur backs *STAR pupils of JulyI would also like to congratulate our Class Star Pupils of July! They are, in no particular order of merit,Lexann TanKenneth PoonAmanda LaiLexann has been showing improvements in the quality of her school work, especially in reading. Her responsibility towards her drive to improve earned her one of July's STAR awards!Kenneth has been behaving extremely well this term. Although playful in nature, he has shown much maturity after the June holidays. He can be trusted to do more for the class. This award is to encourage you, Kenneth!Amanda has a responsible nature. She takes the initiative to keep her group quiet as well as maintain a clean and tidy environment at her group's area. I've noticed that she shares willingly too. She definitely deserves to be a STAR pupil!National Day Celebrations [8th August 2006]The children came early in the morning in their red and white attires today for the National Day celebrations. It was a half-day for us too! First, there was a sing along session where the children sang their hearts out along the tunes of 'My Island Home', 'Home', 'Stand up for Singapore' and many more! Next, the children went back to class to take part in the 'Design a Recycling Bin' competition. Children worked in groups to do up a collage of a recycling bin. Although we did not win any prizes among the other P1 classes, I hope the children had fun pasting magazine scraps to their design. =) Check out the photos below.Early birds of 1C!
