Making of Shopping bags The children turned their vegetable-printed drawing paper into shopping bags! See some of their creations below!2. Kidz Xpression [17th July 2006] I would like to praise Darren & Priscilla for having the confidence to take part in Kidz Xpression. Darren told the story, 'The Woodcutter and his Three Axes' and Priscilla told the story, 'A Ball Named Sam'. I would especially like to commend on Priscilla's courage. She was previously in the LSP programme but was discharged this term as she had tremendous improvement in her reading and speech. WONDERFUL JOB!!! 3. Centre of Excellence [C.O.E] The class got the chance to watch the P2 drama performance in the hall during this event. Five pupils in our class also helped out in one of the classroom experience by doing some impromptu puppetry act with finger puppets at the Puppetry Station. They are Atalya, Isabel, Naomi, Vignesh and Hansel. They did well by attracting several guests with their animated voices and actions. After the guests had left, they also had a go at making their own finger puppets!4. New 'Couragers' !I would also like to welcome 2 new pupils who just joined us this week. They are John Khoo and Park Hyun Min. Our class has a full strength of 30 now!5. Learning Journeys I believe you would have received the consent forms today. Hi all,The EL Show Time performance went smoothly yesterday for all of the P1 classes. Our class recited the poem, 'Sunflowers' and I am very proud of their wonderful performance =) The children have practiced very hard for the past week and I would like to commend them on their efforts. I can see that they took pride in making their sunflower head bands as well. Excellent work! I would also like to praise Stacey and Dao An for remembering their solo lines so well although it was a last minute addition. Good job! Click here to see the photos taken! Also, view their adorable performance by clicking the 'play' button below. Posted by Miss April Chew @ [11:35 PM] 0 comments Friday, July 07, 2006 Happenings in Term 3 Week 2! It's the end of this hectic short week! There were several interesting events this week for the children such as Kidz Xpression, Cancer Awareness Talk and a vegetable stamping art lesson! [Click on photos for enlarged versions & feel free to download/save the photos]Kidz Xpression I would like to praiseIsabel and Vignesh for their courage in participating in Kidz Xpression on Thursday. It is definitely no easy feat facing an audience of 500+ children to present their English items. Isabel told the story, 'The Enormous Turnip' and Vignesh did a Show & Tell on his favourite game, 'Business'. Well done, both of you!We need 4 more children to participate on 2 other Kidz Xpression sessions, namely on the17th July & 7th August [2 children on each day] Please encourage your child to take part! They can do so by informing me of their interest in participating. Art lesson - Decorating a shopping bag using vegetable stampsIn view of the current English unit, 'Let's Go Shopping', we are making our own shopping bag with cardboard paper. However, we have to first decorate it! We created patterned stamps out of the cross section of certain vegetables such as lady's finger and capsicums. Carving designs on potatoes was another way to create these stamps. The children had a wild time dipping their stamps into paint and then creating their lovely shopping bag designs in the Creative Studio. We will fold their creations into shopping bags next week! Enjoy the photos and have a great weekend!aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Posted by Miss April Chew @ [10:54 PM] 0 comments ddddd Miss April Contact teachers 1C timetable 1C seating Spelling Lists Calendar of eventsaaaaa ============ || Archives || January 2006 February 2006 March 2006 April 2006 May 2006 June 2006 July 2006 August 2006 September 2006 October 2006 November 2006 Online Payday Loans PHOTOS!
